Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Sohan Qadri was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,564.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sohan Qadri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sohan Qadri wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.564,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sohan Qadri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27).
