This artwork by Sofu Teshigahara achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. In the Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art auction, the work Untitled - a six leaf folding screen sold for EUR 4,780.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sofu Teshigahara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Setsugetsu Ka - Snow Moon Flower (Hexaptych Folding Screens) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,290.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sofu Teshigahara erzielte im Juni 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled - a six leaf folding screen für EUR 4.780,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sofu Teshigahara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Setsugetsu Ka - Snow Moon Flower (Hexaptych Folding Screens) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.290,93).
