In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Young Boy with a Catapult by William Reid Dick. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,793.78), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Reid Dick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sir Winston Churchill in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 28,100.00 (€ 36,753.70).

Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young Boy with a Catapult von William Reid Dick zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.793,78) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Reid Dick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sir Winston Churchill im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.100,00 (€ 36.753,70).
