Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Cenotaph, The Morning of the Peace Procession by Sir William Nicholson was sold in the Annabel's auction at Christies in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,498.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sir William Nicholson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunflowers in March this year with an auction result of GBP 756,000.00 (€ 860,096.03).
