In October 2021 Christies held the auction Modern British and Irish ArtEvening Sale, which included the work Vase and Books on a Red Table by Sir William Nicholson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 425,000.00 (€ 503,510.21), 70% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sir William Nicholson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sunflowers sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of GBP 756,000.00 (€ 860,096.03).

Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Modern British and Irish ArtEvening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vase and Books on a Red Table von Sir William Nicholson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 425.000,00 (€ 503.510,21) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sir William Nicholson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sunflowers im März diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 756.000,00 (€ 860.096,03).
