Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hot Day by Sir William Nicholson was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,877.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sir William Nicholson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunflowers in March this year with an auction result of GBP 756,000.00 (€ 860,096.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hot Day von Sir William Nicholson kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.877,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sir William Nicholson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunflowers im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 756.000,00 (€ 860.096,03).
