Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Portrait of Mrs Jagger by Walter Westley Russell. The price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,708.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Westley Russell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Pleasures in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 57,032.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Mrs Jagger von Walter Westley Russell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.708,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Westley Russell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer Pleasures im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 57.032,86).
