Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 24,000.00 (€ 19,011.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Westley Russell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer Pleasures, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 57,032.86).
