Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Walter Westley Russell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2000. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Shoreham-by-the-Sea sold for GBP 805.00 (€ 1,338.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Westley Russell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Pleasures in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 57,032.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Westley Russell erzielte im März 2000 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Shoreham-by-the-Sea für GBP 805,00 (€ 1.338,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Westley Russell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer Pleasures im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 57.032,86).
