In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Pictures, which included the work The Royal Yacht Victoria And Albert (Ii) Lying In Osborne Bay, Below Osborne House, Isle of Wight by Oswald Walters Brierly. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,379.02), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oswald Walters Brierly - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work East Boyd, Twofold Bay, New South Wales, which sold at auction in November 2001 for AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,014.24).

Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Royal Yacht Victoria And Albert (Ii) Lying In Osborne Bay, Below Osborne House, Isle of Wight von Oswald Walters Brierly zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.379,02) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Oswald Walters Brierly mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit East Boyd, Twofold Bay, New South Wales beobachtet, die im November 2001 für AUD 25.850,00 (€ 15.014,24) versteigert wurde.
