Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work H.M.S Galatea running through the NE Trades; and a companion work by Oswald Walters Brierly for USD 625.00 (€ 496.90). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oswald Walters Brierly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work East Boyd, Twofold Bay, New South Wales in November 2001 with an auction result of AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,014.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit H.M.S Galatea running through the NE Trades; and a companion work von Oswald Walters Brierly für USD 625,00 (€ 496,90) erwerben.
