This artwork by Noël Coward achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2015. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Sleeping amongst the palms sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,937.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noël Coward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The View from Firefly in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 60,486.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Noël Coward erzielte im März 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Sleeping amongst the palms für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.937,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Noël Coward erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The View from Firefly im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 60.486,69).
