Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work Figure on a Beach, the Pitons by Noël Coward. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,860.40). Admittedly, works by Noël Coward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The View from Firefly in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 60,486.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure on a Beach, the Pitons von Noël Coward zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.860,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Noël Coward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The View from Firefly im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 60.486,69).
