Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Central Park, New York, Evening by John Lavery was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 126,000.00 (€ 146,376.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Lavery have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Terrace, Cap d'Ail in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,162,500.00 (€ 1,363,272.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Central Park, New York, Evening von John Lavery kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 126.000,00 (€ 146.376,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Lavery auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Terrace, Cap d'Ail im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.162.500,00 (€ 1.363.272,29).
