This artwork by John Lavery achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Arab gathering sold for GBP 21,675.00 (€ 25,180.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Lavery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Terrace, Cap d'Ail in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,162,500.00 (€ 1,363,272.29).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Lavery erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Arab gathering für GBP 21.675,00 (€ 25.180,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Lavery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Terrace, Cap d'Ail im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.162.500,00 (€ 1.363.272,29).
