However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Gilbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The marriage of Katherine and Petruchio: The Taming of the Shrew, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,159.49).
