Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Vintage Posters Online, which included the work John Constable R.A. At Flatford Mill by Henry George Rushbury. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 727.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry George Rushbury - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,083.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Vintage Posters Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit John Constable R.A. At Flatford Mill von Henry George Rushbury zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 727,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry George Rushbury mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.083,66) versteigert wurde.
