Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Henry George Rushbury could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The beach at Searborough changed hands for USD 250.00 (€ 203.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry George Rushbury achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,083.66).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry George Rushbury konnte im Juli 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit The beach at Searborough für USD 250,00 (€ 203,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry George Rushbury erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.083,66).
