This artwork by Henry George Rushbury achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2003. In the British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book auction, the work Rome sold for GBP 998.75 (€ 1,414.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry George Rushbury; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris sold at auction in June 2006 with the realized price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,083.66).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry George Rushbury erzielte im Dezember 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book wurde die Arbeit Rome für GBP 998,75 (€ 1.414,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Henry George Rushbury; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris im Juni 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.083,66).
