The work Schiavoni, Evening, Venice by Henry George Rushbury was sold in the British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book auction at Christies in London in December 2003. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 822.50 (€ 1,164.96), 65% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry George Rushbury; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris sold at auction in June 2006 with the realized price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,083.66).

Die Arbeit Schiavoni, Evening, Venice von Henry George Rushbury wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.164,96) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Henry George Rushbury; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris im Juni 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.083,66).
