Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Concarneau by Henry George Rushbury was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in London in May 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 848.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry George Rushbury - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hotel Bretonvilliers, Paris, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,083.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Concarneau von Henry George Rushbury wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 848,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
