Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Collection Of Studies by David Wilkie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2019. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,603.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Wilkie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Spanish Girl in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 363,650.00 (€ 522,024.96).

Die Arbeit A Collection Of Studies von David Wilkie kam im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.603,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Wilkie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Spanish Girl im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 363.650,00 (€ 522.024,96).
