Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The heat of the day, Flatford by David Murray was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,238.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
