Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work The lock by David Murray. It changed hands for a price of GBP 765.00 (€ 890.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The lock von David Murray zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 890,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Murray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
