In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Autumn gently tints the Glen by David Murray. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,751.10) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn gently tints the Glen von David Murray zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.751,10) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Murray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
