It achieved a price of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,383.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 29%. Admittedly, works by David Murray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).

Die Arbeit Ben Lomond'S Lullaby, Loch Ard von David Murray kam im August 2006 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.383,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 29%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Murray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
