Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life (Clematis, Kniphofia And Hollyhock) by Cedric Morris was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 36,695.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cedric Morris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poppies in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 131,000.00 (€ 149,184.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life (Clematis, Kniphofia And Hollyhock) von Cedric Morris kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 36.695,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cedric Morris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poppies im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.000,00 (€ 149.184,56).
