Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rooftops, Tavira, Portugal by Cedric Morris was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,227.33), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Cedric Morris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poppies in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 131,000.00 (€ 149,184.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rooftops, Tavira, Portugal von Cedric Morris wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.227,33) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cedric Morris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poppies im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.000,00 (€ 149.184,56).
