Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Agarete, Gran Canaria by Cedric Morris was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2015. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,912.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cedric Morris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poppies in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 131,000.00 (€ 149,184.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Agarete, Gran Canaria von Cedric Morris kam im März 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.912,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cedric Morris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poppies im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.000,00 (€ 149.184,56).
