Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Grey Day, Queen Anne Lace by Simon Parkes was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,751.21). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Parkes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Middle of Hardings Beach, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 7,012.50 (€ 5,750.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Grey Day, Queen Anne Lace von Simon Parkes kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.751,21) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon Parkes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Middle of Hardings Beach beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 7.012,50 (€ 5.750,78) versteigert wurde.
