Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Flowers At Ecco Farm, East Hampton by Simon Parkes. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,177.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Parkes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Middle of Hardings Beach, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 7,012.50 (€ 5,750.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers At Ecco Farm, East Hampton von Simon Parkes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 2.177,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon Parkes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Middle of Hardings Beach beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 7.012,50 (€ 5.750,78) versteigert wurde.
