Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sleep, Gentle Sleep by Simeon Solomon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 10,979.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simeon Solomon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Habet! In The Coliseum A.D.Xc in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 370,000.00 (€ 414,851.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sleep, Gentle Sleep von Simeon Solomon kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 10.979,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simeon Solomon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Habet! In The Coliseum A.D.Xc im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 370.000,00 (€ 414.851,36).
