Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Child Jeremiah by Simeon Solomon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 72,223.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Simeon Solomon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Habet! In The Coliseum A.D.Xc in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 370,000.00 (€ 414,851.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Child Jeremiah von Simeon Solomon kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 72.223,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden.
