A top price for Sientje Mesdag van Houten - as previously expected
In April 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Blauwe Vaas by Sientje Mesdag van Houten. The price achieved of EUR 9,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Blauwe Vaas is the most expensive artwork by Sientje Mesdag van Houten that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blauwe Vaas von Sientje Mesdag van Houten zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Blauwe Vaas das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sientje Mesdag van Houten, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
