In November 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work Violets In A Pot by Sientje Mesdag van Houten. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,375.00 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sientje Mesdag van Houten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blauwe Vaas in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 9,600.00.

Im November 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Violets In A Pot von Sientje Mesdag van Houten zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.375,00 und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sientje Mesdag van Houten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blauwe Vaas im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.600,00.
