Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work On the heath by Sientje Mesdag van Houten for EUR 384.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sientje Mesdag van Houten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blauwe Vaas in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 9,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On the heath von Sientje Mesdag van Houten für EUR 384,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sientje Mesdag van Houten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blauwe Vaas im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.600,00.
