The price achieved of EUR 1,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Sientje Mesdag van Houten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blauwe Vaas in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 9,600.00.
