Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Palazzo Ducale 33 by Shozo Shimamoto was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 174,955.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).
