This artwork by Shen Zongqian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in December 2021. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center auction, the work Pavillion Besides Tree and Bamboo sold for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,796.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zongqian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 78,000.00 (€ 79,653.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Zongqian erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center wurde die Arbeit Pavillion Besides Tree and Bamboo für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.796,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zongqian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 78.000,00 (€ 79.653,26).
