This artwork by Shen Hanwu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2019. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Untitled - Girl In A Barn sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,017.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Hanwu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Descendants Of The Dragon in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Hanwu erzielte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Untitled - Girl In A Barn für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.017,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Hanwu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Descendants Of The Dragon im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60).
