Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shen Fan could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Garden-P-2B & River-P-20-1 (Two Works) changed hands for HKD 31,250.00 (€ 3,650.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Fan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1991-M-3 in April 2015 with an auction result of CNY 200,000.00 (€ 28,883.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Fan konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Garden-P-2B & River-P-20-1 (Two Works) für HKD 31.250,00 (€ 3.650,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Fan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1991-M-3 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 200.000,00 (€ 28.883,71).
