Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work The Hog Killing by Shelby Lee Adams. The price achieved of USD 896.00 (€ 846.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shelby Lee Adams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Leddie and Children in August last year with an auction result of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,546.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Hog Killing von Shelby Lee Adams zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 896,00 (€ 846,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shelby Lee Adams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Leddie and Children im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.546,94).
