This work without title by Sheikh Mohammed Sultan was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,954.87), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sheikh Mohammed Sultan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Farmers), which sold at auction in March this year for USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,589.40).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sheikh Mohammed Sultan wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.954,87) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sheikh Mohammed Sultan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Farmers) beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.589,40) versteigert wurde.
