Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Village Scene) by Sheikh Mohammed Sultan was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. The price achieved of USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,833.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Sheikh Mohammed Sultan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Farmers) in March this year with an auction result of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,589.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Village Scene) von Sheikh Mohammed Sultan wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.833,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sheikh Mohammed Sultan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Farmers) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.589,40).
