It achieved a price of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,659.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Admittedly, works by Sheikh Mohammed Sultan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Farmers) in March this year with an auction result of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,589.40).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Figures in a landscape) von Sheikh Mohammed Sultan wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.659,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sheikh Mohammed Sultan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Farmers) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.589,40).
