In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled; Collective Experiences sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,467.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shahzia Sikander have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Veil 'N Trail in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 208,761.56).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Shahzia Sikander erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled; Collective Experiences für USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.467,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shahzia Sikander auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Veil 'N Trail im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 208.761,56).
