Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work The Iron Monger'S Overheated Wife by Sergei Soudeikine for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,647.19). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Soudeikine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian Oriental Scene, Circa 1923 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 154,804.73).

Im Oktober 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Iron Monger'S Overheated Wife von Sergei Soudeikine für USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.647,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sergei Soudeikine erzielen.
