This artwork by Sergei Soudeikine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2011. In the Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art auction, the work The Pier At Novgorod: Backdrop Design For Sadko sold for USD 98,500.00 (€ 69,449.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sergei Soudeikine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Oriental Scene, Circa 1923, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 241,000.00 (€ 154,804.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sergei Soudeikine erzielte im März 2011 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit The Pier At Novgorod: Backdrop Design For Sadko für USD 98.500,00 (€ 69.449,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sergei Soudeikine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian Oriental Scene, Circa 1923 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 241.000,00 (€ 154.804,73) versteigert wurde.
