Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Costume Designs For The Underwater Ballet In Sadko At The Metropolitan Opera Company: A Pair by Sergei Soudeikine was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,802.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Soudeikine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian Oriental Scene, Circa 1923 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 154,804.73).
