Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Junichiro Sekino could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art auction, the work Daiozaki, 1977 changed hands for USD 900.00 (€ 741.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Junichiro Sekino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yoshida Bungoro in March 2001 with an auction result of USD 3,525.00 (€ 4,008.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Junichiro Sekino konnte im März 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art wechselte die Arbeit Daiozaki, 1977 für USD 900,00 (€ 741,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Junichiro Sekino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yoshida Bungoro im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.525,00 (€ 4.008,41).
